Akshit Sharma is an analyst on the financial planning & analysis team for Kayne Anderson’s real estate group, responsible for developing budgeting and forecasting models, designing performance‐tracking dashboards, conducting portfolio and market data analyses, and supporting deal underwriting and valuation efforts.
Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2025, Sharma spent two years in the finance industry, working in both banking and hedge funds as a quantitative analyst. During this time, Sharma conducted research, authored white papers, and developed trading strategies through rigorous backtesting. Sharma applied statistical and mathematical models to options and equity markets, leveraged advanced analytics to interpret financial data, assessed risk, and contributed to trading research and strategy development.
Sharma earned a B.S. in Data Science with a minor in Business Analytics from the University of North Texas, graduating summa cum laude.
