Derek Grammer is a vice president of portfolio management for Kayne Anderson’s real estate group, responsible for analyzing opportunistic portfolio construction, performance, and assisting in the execution of dispositions and refinancings.
Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2026, Grammer was vice president of strategy & investments at Kirkwood Collection, focusing on portfolio management, financial modeling, and investment/disposition strategy across the firm’s boutique hotel holdings. Grammer previously worked at Citrine Investment Group, where he underwrote opportunities across multiple real estate asset classes and supported the firm’s acquisitions and capital raising efforts. Prior to Citrine, Grammer worked at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, where he supported institutional capital raising and LP due diligence through fund-level performance modeling and analytics.
Grammer earned a B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University.
