Sheryl Kass is legal counsel for Kayne Anderson’s real estate group, responsible for providing legal oversight to the real estate private equity platform.
Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2026, Kass spent over eight years as co-general counsel for a real estate developer in South Florida, where she worked on acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and developments of hospitality, office, and residential real estate, including construction, property management, and leasing. Before moving to an in-house role, Kass was a partner at King & Spalding LLP’s New York office focusing on real estate lending including mortgage and mezzanine loan origination and syndication.
Kass earned a B.A. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. with honors from the Emory University School of Law. Kass is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida.
